Nomad Dance International
|
HistoryNomad Dance International grew organically from Manchester University weekly Belly Dance classes. Our first gig was in January 2003. There were four of us and we danced for an audience of 1800 people during Chinese New Year celebrations at the Opera House in Manchester. It was tremendous fun! Why are we Nomad Dance “International”? We were all different nationalities. There are now 10 members in the tribe. We are based in Manchester, England, but true to our “Nomad” name, we are prepared to travel to perform. We can dance in traditional or non-traditional styles. Luckily, we are able to combine our dance skills with our ethical beliefs and actively support the promotion of positive body image and health awareness. If you would like us to perform at your Wedding, Arts or Music Festival, party, fundraiser, themed evening etc. get in touch. Our Constitution
Nomad-Dance International is committed to promoting equal opportunities in all areas of its work: its services, access for participants and for audiences. It will strive towards best practice in all areas over which it has influence or control. No group or section of the community or population will be excluded from this policy or the practices and procedures it gives rise to.
